Just a quick note to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you all for making our wedding so wonderful on Friday. Everything was perfect and we are so happy!! The hair, clothes, photos, transport, music, food, drink, location, set up, flowers were all fantastic and we couldn't stop smiling for the whole day!!

I have been meaning to drop you a line for a while to say thank you for everything you did to make sure that our wedding went off without a hitch. We had a perfect day and it couldn't have been any better. Everyone commented on how lovely the setting was and lots of our friends that watched the ceremony said that they were very jealous! And even the sun came out....!

Phil & I just wanted to thank you and all the staff at the Grand Old House for a wonderful day on Sunday 20th January. The food was delicious, the staff especially the waiter and Daniella who looked after us all and worked so hard to make our day that extra special. We will have lots of fond memories and even though we couldn't use the Gazebo due to poor weather for the dinner and had to move to the English Room this ended up being just perfect for our small intimate party and we thank the staff again for making this room look so nice as we could see how much pressure was on them when the rain came!

Hi Desiree, hope you are doing well. I just wanted to send you a quick email to thank you for our wonderful wedding. We loved the way everything turned out. We had so much fun and everything turned out better than I had imagined. We definitely had a very memorable day. Thank you so much for all of your help and attention to detail. You did an awesome job.
In regards to the photographer we were thrilled when we saw the pictures. The photographer's services were excellent. We were very happy with the quality of the pictures. They were perfect!! Everyone loves our pictures.
Hair and make up girls were great. They were very amicable and I was very happy with their service.
Flowers were awesome. When your assistant brought in my bouquet and I saw it. I knew then that everything was going to be perfect. The bouquet and center pieces were so pretty. Thank you for explaining to them what I was invisioning.
The last thing that we and everyone of our guests loved was the food and the cake. Did I mention the cake. Everyone kept raving about how good the cake was. We were very, very happy with the food. Everything was so delicious. Brian and I will definitely come back to the Grand Old house when we visit the Caymans.

De locatie was helemaal geweldig en de foto's later op 7 miles beach zijn ook prachtig, jammer dat we er maar zo kort konden verblijven maar we gaan zeker een keer terug komen op het eiland,
en dan niet per boot maar per vliegtuig! De lunch was super evenals de bruidstaart!
Nogmaals bedankt voor alles en we hopen je zeker nog eens te ontmoeten!

I must start by apologizing for the delay in writing. I have been meaning to do so for a longtime and cannot believe it has been over a month now since we were there!
Still, John-David and I really wanted to make sure we took the time to thank you, Mako, Rev. McLaughlin, Eugenio, and the whole staff that worked with and for us both leading up to and on the day of our wedding this past February 10, 2007: thank you all for your professionalism, expertise, help, support, and... patience!
We had a wonderful experience and I personally could not have wished for a more perfect day or for things to go more smoothly. Not only did JD & I immensely enjoy our wedding - but our family also did and commented many a time on how perfect everything was; how smoothly everything went; how professional everyone was... and of course, how lovely the venue was! Oh, and we must mention the food!
We also wanted to mention how happy we were with our choice to have Courtney capture all the special moments we experienced that day. He is not only a very experienced and skilled photographer (as you already know) but also very personable, honest, and professional. We felt comfortable with him from our very first e-mail interaction and were rewarded for our choice with wonderful memories our family and us will treasure forever.
His familiarity with the GOH, as he was the first to say, certainly helped in capturing some stunning pictures.
We certainly would recommend him to other couples and thought you should know.
Of course, it goes without saying that we would certainly recommend GOH as a fabulous wedding venue as well! Or, at the very least, the perfect place for a most lovely romantic dinner :)

I just wanted to say \"thank you\" for everything you did in coordinating Amy & Brian Glidden\'s wedding on 2/13/07 at Grand Old House. Everything was PERFECT! It was more than we hoped for. Several of our guests told me that it was the best wedding they have ever attended. The ocean view at GOH is incredible and it made a spectacular background for the wedding.
Everything from the flowers to the music to the luncheon buffet was wonderful. Rev. Crawford performed the wedding ceremony and we were all very pleased with the ceremony. Also, Jim Gates from Jim Gates Photography did an absolutely spectacular job on the wedding photos.
I have e-mailed my travel agent and told her what a beautiful wedding we had at Grand Old House and told her that I HIGHLY recommend Grand Old House for anyone planning a destination wedding in Grand Cayman!!

We just returned from our beautiful wedding on Grand Cayman. We arrived April 4, 2006 on a cruise ship. Desiree met us on the dock and immediately I was impressed with the way she took over so confidently. For the first time I was able to relax knowing things were going to be great and they were! The Grand Old House was perfect and the beach we were married on was stunning.
Our guests raved about the food and rum punch for days afterwards.
I can't say enough what a terrific job all the staff did. Desiree recommended a lovely photographer and the minister was just right.
We all agree it was just what we imagined a perfect Caribbean wedding would be.

We first brought Amanda to the Grand Old House at the age of six. It was then that she announced "this is where I want to be married". After waiting twenty years for her to find the right man, we returned to the island to make her dreams come true.
Words can never express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful job you did in the planning of Amanda's wedding. Perfect in every sense of the word, it was a fairy tale wedding! From the ceremony on the beach with the flower filled conch shell isle, to cocktail toasts & sunset portraits on the pier, to conch fritters & cocktails in the bar, and finally, the fabulous five course meal with dancing to "Barefoot" in the main dining room. It's hard to believe that it's been less than 2 weeks since our daughter's wedding. I want to thank you again for the wonderful job you and your staff did. Thank you for your attention to the smallest details such as bringing in appetizers for the bride and groom after they had spent an hour taking photographs. Everything was perfect. The food not only tasted great, but was beautifully presented. My guests are still raving about the food. Even the dessert plates with the two desserts were works of art. I realize that was a last minute decision since originally, the key lime pie was to be served first with the chocolate cake to be served at a later time. Because everyone was having so much fun, the schedule got pushed back which meant we had to serve them together. Truthfully, it turned out even better and the plates were lovely. I also appreciated the attention your staff gave my guests...glasses were always full; plates were discretely whisked away with no interruption of conversation; they were patient when my guests wanted to party instead of eat, leaving plates to get cold; basically, they were very professional and you should be very proud of them.
Planning an event of this size in another country can be a real challenge. Fortunately, I had you and Celebrations to make my job easier. Thank you for making our daughter's wedding a most special occasion. I look forward to seeing you on visits in the future.

We were extremely pleased with everything! We couldn't have asked for a better day. And the pictures were so nice! All of our guests commented on how nice everything was and they were all impressed. My daughter selected Grand Cayman as the site for her wedding because of the beautiful surroundings ( Even with the damage from Ivan) and because of the friendly and hospitable people of the island. She and her husband had been guests of the island several times before and also had their engagement celebration there. The decision ended up to be stressful one because of the changes dictated by the hurricane, but my daughter still felt that she wanted, it at all possible, to retain Grand Cayman as her wedding destination site.
Due to the cooperation of many people, her wedding was held on February 19th with 80 guests in attendance. Everyone had a great time with three days of celebrations: Luau at Comfort Suites & Resort on Thursday night, a lobster boil on the beach caterer by Grand Old House on Friday night, and the wedding ceremony and reception at Grand Old House on Saturday. Because of Nadia Stradling, Sales & Marketing Manager, agreeing to open several floors of Comfort Suites & Resort for our guests, we were able to continue with the wedding plans. Nadia was wonderful - she was accommodating and hospitable, even under stressful conditions. Also Markus Meier, Maitre d' at Grand Old House, was absolutely fantastic - his professionalism and personable attitude were outstanding; the food was amazing, and his attention to detail surpassed our expectations. Webster's Tours, A Formal Affair and Tortuga Rum Company, Ltd. all contributed to the execution of an event that impressed everyone ! Their timely responses to requests and their willingness to be accommodating are to be commended. They deserve accolades !!!!!!!!!

Our party arrived at Grand old House from the cruise ship. Not knowing what to expect, our every dream came to life. It was the most georgous wedding ever. The service could not have been better. Everything was arranged and taken care of. I had a beatiful flower arrangement to carry. We got to share a wonderful cake and champange with our friends and family. You accomidated us at the last minute to stay and have a wonderful meal at your restaurant.
The setting could not be any more perfect. The water, the gazebo, the house, the restaurant, the staff, every single thing was perfect.
We will be back again someday. Hope you made it through the hurricane ok.
