Legal Aspects

The following documents have to be provided:
  1. Proof of identity: Passport.OR Picture identification (eg: drivers license) and certified copy of Birth Certificate,
  2. For airport arrivals, Cayman Islands immigration card.
  3. For cruise ship passengers, originals and copies of the boarding card/pass.

Certified or notarized copies of divorce decrees/death certificates. If the bride has been married previously and did change her name back from her married name to maiden name, there needs to be a written proof of the name change ( mostly mentioned in the divorce decree).

All documents should be in English; if issued in another language, they need to be translated by an official translator.

Once the wedding is booked we will send you an application form or we will arrange for a meeting. The application, which must be signed by both bride and groom to-be, must give full names, occupations, and permanent or current temporary address. It must also give the state of either party has been previously married, and confirm that there is no impediment of kindred, or alliance or other lawful hindrance to the intended marriage. All weddings must be attended by a local registered marriage officer and by two other witnesses. They must take place between the hours of 6.00am and 8.00pm, with open doors to the premises.

Please note that from January 2010 all US citizens are required to travel with a valid passport
