Live Music with Jazz Pianist Leyannes Valdes Mon. - Sat. 6.30 onwards

Daughter of Chucho Valdes 7 times Grammy award winner jazz pianist, credited to being one of the foremost exponents of Afro-Cuban jazz, successfully integrating the Afro-Cuban rhythms and styles with modern jazz elements. At age of 4 her father started giving her piano lessons at age of 7 she began to study classical music at the prestigious Conservatory of Havana. During her career as Jazz pianist she played at all major jazz festivals in Europe, North & Latin America. One of her greatest concerts was in 2003, in Spain when she was able to play together with her Father Chucho Valdes and Grand father Bebo Valds. He just turned 89, lives in Stockholm and is also a Grammy award recipient The concert at the Grand Old House with Cucho Valdes in 2009 was very sentimental and brought a lot of memories back for her.
