Our waterfront restaurant in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, is the perfect place for any event you have in mind, whether it’s a corporate event, a business lunch, a family celebration or special occasion, or a recognition banquet.
We have five air-conditioned private dining rooms, as well as a Grand Cabana on the beach. Cayman Islands dining is at its best at Grand Old House, where great food, professional service and stunning surroundings all contribute to a special event. We also offer professional catering to ensure you have the best lunch or the best dinner in the Cayman Islands.
Here’s a look at the superb private dining rooms of our restaurant:
Grand Cabana. Your reservation of our beachside elegant cabana includes the exclusive setup, and, to enhance a romantic evening, rose petals strewn along the path, as well as fairy lights and candles. Think about this setting when you are ready to propose, or to celebrate an anniversary, birthday or Valentine’s Day.
Colonial Room. This lovely, traditional room can seat up to 80 people.
Plantation Room. This enclosed gazebo, with a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea, can seat up to 24 people.
Gazebo Room. Another room with a spectacular seaside view, this space can accommodate up to 30 people.
English Room. This room lives up to its name with traditional English-inspired décor and vintage oil paintings. This room seats up to 20 people.
Wine Room. Last, but certainly not least, is our elegantly appointed wine room, showcasing our award-winning wine collection, featuring thousands of bottles. This intimate room seats up to 10 people.
In addition to these lovely rooms in our spacious, historic plantation-style house, our waterfront terrace can accommodate up to 500 people. We also have the best of Cayman Islands wine shops, with a wine club to accommodate your budget and level of participation.
Grand Old House is proud to be the recipient of the Best of Award of Excellence, a Wine Spectator Restaurant Award for 2018, for our dedication to fine wines. Our collection includes more than 2,100 selections, with more than 25,000 bottles stored in our wine room. Some of the popular wines from our list include varieties from Spain, Italy, Australia, California, France and Germany. Examples include rosés such as Gérard Bertrand, Cote des Roses, Languedoc, 2016; Domaines Ott, Clos Mireille, Provence, 2016; Chateau Minuty, 281, Cote de Provence, 2014; and Antica Terra, Angelicall, Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon, 2015.
On top of all of these features – private dining, waterfront views, excellent service and premier wines – we offer even more services! These include an event planner to look after every detail of your private party, including scheduling a photographer or videographer, special décor, entertainment, and even fireworks.
